Isn't is truly awesome that
smoothies can be prepared in mere second—at
the same time they are temptingly delicious and refreshingly healthy? Oh yes,
simple, fresh and health.
Its luxurious taste,
especially if served with a scoop of ice cream, will leave the kids clamoring
for more. And what better way to include the recommended daily five portions of
fruits and veggies in your diet, huh?
This deliciously thick and totally indulgent
drink provides an instant energy boost, and is the best antidote to wake up a
sluggish system. Quickly whizz up a glass of this yummy goodness to jump-start
your day, as a mid morning snack, or as part of a satiating meal for dinner.
Do check out my
previous tips on how to make smoothies that are
delicious and equally nutritious.
Strawberries combine well with bananas and other tropical fruits. Strawberry paired with banana is the classic combo of this versatile drink.
Frozen fruits is the secret to this frosty creamy delight. I usually peel and cut bananas and freeze in zip-lock bags to use as needed, same with strawberries too. Using frozen fruits adds a delicious twist, making the smoothie thick and creamy like a frosty. Use yogurt for a bit of tanginess and serve it with a sprinkle of granola for a lip-smacking experience. You can omit milk if you prefer it really thick, almost similar to a soft serve.
I usually serve this to unexpected guests, sit back, and enjoy the enormous compliments.
Try it. You’ll be surprised.
